Respiratory Therapist

We are hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week contract assignment at a community hospital supporting adult critical care and emergency department patients. This is a day shift position (3x12s, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) working within a collaborative respiratory therapy team using Epic charting.

The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for providing comprehensive respiratory care, including airway management, oxygen therapy, ventilator management, and pulmonary hygiene. Duties include administering respiratory medications, performing suctioning and extubation procedures, managing tracheostomy care, interpreting arterial blood gases (ABGs), and supporting patients requiring BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula therapy.

Candidates must hold BLS, ACLS, and CRT certifications (RRT and NRP preferred) and demonstrate experience in adult critical care and emergency care environments. Strong knowledge of aerosol delivery systems, inhalation therapies, and ventilator troubleshooting is essential.
