Respiratory Therapist

<Job Summary>
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Respiratory Therapist, where your expertise will be vital in delivering exceptional respiratory care to diverse patient populations. In this role, you will assess, monitor, and treat patients with respiratory issues across various settings, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, and emergency environments. Whether managing ventilators or providing airway management, you’ll be at the forefront of life-saving interventions, ensuring every patient receives compassionate and expert care.

<Responsibilities>

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate respiratory function and identify treatment needs.
  • Administer respiratory therapy treatments such as oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy.
  • Operate and monitor ventilators and other respiratory support equipment with precision and confidence.
  • Manage airway procedures during emergencies or surgical interventions, including intubation and suctioning.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in critical care units like ICU, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), and emergency departments to develop personalized care plans.
  • Monitor vital signs and interpret physiological data to adjust treatments effectively.
  • Educate patients and their families about respiratory conditions, medication use, and self-care strategies for outpatient or inpatient settings.

<Qualifications>

  • Proven experience in hospital medicine, critical care, or emergency medicine environments.
  • Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pulmonology, and medical terminology relevant to respiratory therapy.
  • Hands-on experience with ventilator management, airway procedures, and acute care protocols.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications such as Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) are preferred.
  • Familiarity with hospital settings including Level I Trauma Centers or Level II trauma centers is advantageous.
  • Experience working in pediatric (PICU) or geriatric (Geriatrics) populations is a plus.

Pay: $43.12 - $65.00 per hour
