Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our long-term care team. In this role, you will provide respiratory therapy to residents with cardiopulmonary abnormalities and deficiencies, following physician prescriptions and established protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review physician prescriptions and patient information to assess condition and determine treatment requirements.
• Administer and adjust respiratory therapy treatments in accordance with physician orders.
• Set up and operate respiratory devices, including mechanical ventilators, nebulizers, and compressors.
• Monitor patient response to therapy through vital signs and blood chemistry changes.
• Observe and adjust equipment for optimal performance and safety.
• Consult with physicians regarding adverse reactions or treatment modifications.
• Inspect and test respiratory therapy equipment for safe and efficient operation.
• Educate staff and demonstrate respiratory care procedures.
• Perform tracheostomy tube changes as needed.

Qualifications:

• Licensure: Active State Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
• Education: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Experience: Previous related work experience in respiratory care preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs.

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
