Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in respiratory therapy, with experience in acute settings. This role is essential in providing high-quality resident care through assessment, treatment, and management of patients with respiratory conditions. The Respiratory Therapist will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal resident outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license.
• Familiarity with ventilator management and airway management protocols
• Proficient knowledge of hospital medicine, critical care, pulmonology, and emergency medicine.
• Experience with patient assessment techniques and vital sign monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine respiratory needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including the use of ventilators and airway management techniques.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to changes in their condition promptly.
• Collaborate with medical staff in emergency situations, utilizing skills in emergency medicine and critical care.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding respiratory conditions and treatment options.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and progress.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, offering insights on respiratory management for inpatient and outpatient cases.
• Assist in medication administration related to respiratory therapy as prescribed by physicians.
