Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients in the LTAC setting. This role is essential in supporting patients with respiratory issues and requires a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology.
Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate patients' respiratory conditions and needs.
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments and interventions as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families about respiratory health and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes.
- Participate in emergency response situations as needed, providing critical care support.
Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license or certification as required by state regulations.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to respiratory function.
- Experience working in an inpatient hospital setting, particularly within an ICU.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
