Respiratory Therapist

Responsibilities:

• Performs routine respiratory procedures (Breathing treatments, Incentive Spirometry, O2 therapy, etc.)
• Performs acute respiratory procedures (ventilator management, airway management, Bipap, etc.)
• Draw and interpret arterial blood gas reports; make recommendations with consultation of physician.
• Understands and responds to Code Blue incidents.
• Performs diagnostic testing: EKG, Stress Test, Holter Monitor set-up, and Pulmonary Function Test
• Documents per Cardiopulmonary policies including all flow sheets and patient’s education sheet.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• CRT Credentials, RRT preferred.
• MO license
• Associate degree strongly preferred.
• Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) issued by the American Heart Association or preapproved provider.
