Job Description:

Arbor View Nursing and Rehab is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our amazing team! The primary purpose of the position is to provide specialized respiratory care to residents in a skilled nursing facility. The RT ensures the safe and effective delivery of respiratory treatments, monitors patient responses, and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to optimize respiratory health and overall well-being. Compensation based on experience!

Some Duties Include:

Deliver direct respiratory care and treatment to residents with physician orders and established protocols.
Perform regular assessments of residents' respiratory status, including auscultation, oxygen saturation, ventilator settings, and airway patency.
Manage and maintain ventilator and tracheostomy equipment, including setup, calibration, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
Suction and maintain airways, including trach tube care and replacement when indicated.
Administer oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, CPT (chest physiotherapy), and other respiratory modalities.

Skills, Education and Experience

Minimum one (1) year experience working with adults in a long term care setting
Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
Licensure: Current and active state Respiratory Therapist license.
Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy procedures, equipment, and infection control practices.
Ability to perform detailed assessments and respond appropriately in urgent situations.
Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Compassionate, patient-focused, and adaptable to the skilled nursing environment.
