Respiratory Therapist

Assist patients of all ages who suffer from pulmonary (breathing) disorders. In addition to analyzing and performing diagnostic testing, Respiratory Therapists perform relevant exams and control patients' blood-oxygen levels, as well as set up and utilize Respiratory care equipment and machines needed to assist or monitor the patients breathing.

Responsibilities

• Perform Respiratory care modalities on patients.
• Document all Respiratory care delivered.
• Provide patient education.
• Maintain and manage department ventilators.
• Participate in arterial procedures designed to analyze arterial blood gases.
  
  

Requirements

• Graduation from an AMA or JRCRTE approved program
• Must be licensed in the state of Illinois.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers - CPR/AHA certification required. CRT Required. Preferred RRT
• NRP preferred.
• Experience in all modalities of Respiratory care through clinical application.
