Assist patients of all ages who suffer from pulmonary (breathing) disorders. In addition to analyzing and performing diagnostic testing, Respiratory Therapists perform relevant exams and control patients' blood-oxygen levels, as well as set up and utilize Respiratory care equipment and machines needed to assist or monitor the patients breathing.
Responsibilities

Perform Respiratory care modalities on patients.

Document all Respiratory care delivered.

Provide patient education.

Maintain and manage department ventilators.

Participate in arterial procedures designed to analyze arterial blood gases.
Requirements

Graduation from an AMA or JRCRTE approved program

Must be licensed in the state of Illinois.

Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers - CPR/AHA certification required. CRT Required. Preferred RRT

NRP preferred.

Experience in all modalities of Respiratory care through clinical application.
