Respiratory Therapist PRN

  • This is for a night shift position.

The Respiratory Technician works under the direction of the Respiratory Therapist and management to provide respiratory therapy services to the patient population. The Respiratory Technician must be able to provide bronchial hygiene therapy, ventilator monitoring, pulmonary assessments, emergency services and other such cardiopulmonary procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. A degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited school

2. Current State License by State Board of Respiratory Care Examiner

3. One to two years experience in an acute care setting

4. Must be able to read, write, and speak English, as well as possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

CERTIFICATIONS: CPR Certification, ACLS Certification preferred

EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, MATERIALS, MACHINES USED: Mechanical ventilation both invasive and non-invasive, various oxygen equipment, suction equipment, percussors, electrocardiographic machine, pulse oximetry equipment, arterial blood gas equipment and supplies crash carts, miscellaneous medical equipment and DME, telephone, facsimile machine, copier, printers, computers and other office machines, as appropriate.
