Schedule: Full-Time | Night Shifts | Includes Rotating Weekends | 8 Hours Shifts

Position Summary

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will deliver patientcentered respiratory care to individuals experiencing acute and chronic breathing disorders, including asthma, emphysema, and other pulmonary conditions. You'll collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to assess, treat, and monitor patients across multiple care settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer pharmacological, diagnostic, and therapeutic respiratory treatments as prescribed
  • Transcribe, implement, and carry out written and verbal physician orders
  • Assess patient responses to respiratory treatments and recognize changes in condition
  • Recommend and initiate appropriate respiratory care procedures and protocols
  • Perform and respond to emergency respiratory situations
  • Deliver comprehensive respiratory services, including:
    • Aerosol therapy
    • Oxygen administration
    • Arterial blood gas draws and analysis
    • Pulmonary function screening
    • Incentive spirometry
    • ECGs
  • Provide advanced ICU respiratory care, including:
    • Ventilator setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting
    • Arterial line management
    • Assisting with intubation and extubating
  • Follow all infection control, PPE, and isolation protocols
  • Adhere to hospital policies and regulatory guidelines
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education

  • Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program or technical college course

Experience

  • One (1) year of acute respiratory therapy experience preferred
