Position Summary

As a Respiratory Therapist, you'll provide critical support to patients with chronic and acute respiratory conditions such as asthma, COPD, and pneumonia. From emergency interventions to routine therapy, you'll help restore one of life's most vital functions-breathing.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory treatments and diagnostic tests as prescribed by physicians
• Transcribe and implement physician orders accurately
• Assess patients and respond to changes with timely respiratory interventions
• Assist with emergency airway management, including intubation/extubating
• Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and ventilator management
• Deliver expert care in both general and intensive care settings
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and healthcare teams
• Follow all infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• Current RRT or CRT licensure (Mississippi)
• 1+ year of acute care experience preferred
• BLS required (ACLS preferred)

Physical Requirements

ScheduleFlexibility

• PRN – As Needed
• Shifts include every other weekend 3:00pm-11:00pm
• Must be flexible and able to respond as needed
