Job Summary
Kimes Nursing and Rehab is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join their skilled nursing team. As a key member of their interdisciplinary care group, you’ll help residents breathe easier, recover faster, and live better. You’ll work hands-on with patients who rely on your expertise, compassion, and critical-thinking skills every day. This is a rewarding opportunity for a respiratory care professional who enjoys building relationships with patients and staff in a supportive, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality respiratory therapy services to residents in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols.
Administer and monitor oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and other respiratory treatments.
Manage and maintain respiratory equipment, including ventilators and oxygen systems.
Educate patients, families, and staff on respiratory care techniques and preventive practices.
Collaborate closely with nursing, rehabilitation, and medical staff to ensure continuity of care.
Document all care provided in compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations.
Requirements
Current license as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) in the state of Ohio.
BLS/CPR certification required; ACLS preferred.
Experience in long-term care or sub-acute rehab settings preferred, but new grads are welcome to apply.
Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and communication skills.
A positive, team-oriented attitude and a genuine passion for patient care.
