Job Overview
As a Respiratory Therapist on the AM Shift 6:00AM to 6:00PM and PM Shift from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional respiratory care to patients in a subacute setting. Your expertise will be essential in managing respiratory therapies, conducting patient assessments, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. With your skills and dedication, you’ll make a significant impact on the lives of patients in your care.

What you’ll do

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and interventions to patients in subacute inpatient.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs monitoring and airway management.
• Operate and maintain ventilators and other respiratory equipment effectively.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding respiratory health and treatment options.
• Document all patient interactions accurately in compliance with documentation guidelines in the subacute unit.
• Participate in emergency response situations, utilizing your critical care experience to stabilize patients.

Basic qualifications

• RRT credentials from Respiratory Care Board of California.
• Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to respiratory therapy.
• Proven ability in airway management and ventilator operation.
