Respiratory Therapy Clinical Education Director

Job Description:

A technical college in Fort Mill, SC seeks a Director of Respiratory Therapy Clinical Education

1. Hiring, supervising, and terminating assigned clinical instructors.

2. Overseeing and coordinating all clinical education requirements and facilitating course requirements in accordance with Coarc and ACCSC standards.

3. Assisting with the development of annual program budget, approving requisitions.

4. Interviewing prospective students for program admission as requested or required by school policy.

5. Instruct classes as assigned, perform all classroom management, CANVAS record keeping, and perform instructional duties as expected of all instructors.

6.Evaluating textbooks and other instructional materials; developing and updating course material including syllabi, course outlines, and evaluation instruments.

7. Monitor student progress, making sure advising documentation and progress reports are maintained by course instructors in their Public Folder.

8. Providing annual documentation of continuing professional growth, licenses, certifications, or degreesrequired to teach assigned courses.

9. Coordinating Interdepartmental and Program Advisory Committee (PAC) meetings, and attendingscheduled school events each semester.

10.Performing other duties as necessary or assigned.

Qualifications: At least two of the following qualifications and all other credentials that programmatic accrediting bodies may require

(1) At least 3 years work experience in the specific field of instruction (5 years preferred)

(2) At least two years’ teaching experience in the field.
