Respiratory Therapy Director

Qualifications or Skill Required: Graduate of an approved JRCRTE Program. Registered as an RRT required. Texas license preferred. At least one year of RT experience. Leadership/management abilities preferred. Knowledge of respiratory therapy equipment. Effective oral and written communication skills. Current in CPR. Some computer skills are required. Requires extended periods of standing and walking, bending and reaching when providing patient care. Pushing and pulling equipment, lifting supplies up to 50 pounds, and occasional lifting of patients when needed.

Responsibilities: Plans, organizes, and directs the provision of patient care and primary care services in the hospital setting. Implements and supervises all functions of the department, including but not limited to, developing and maintaining respiratory service objectives, standards of care, policy and procedures and educational in-services.
