Eligible candidates are hired into a Full or Part time position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires; per diem hires are ineligible. Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6months of separation from employment.

Day Shift

Summary:

The Respiratory Therapy Educator leads the design and delivery of education across diverse practices areas, including general care, ICU, NICU, pediatrics and emergency services. This role also manages digital learning systems, tracks certifications, and partners with leadership and vendors to ensure integration of new therapies, technologies and practices.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Education: Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Additional coursework or certification in education, instructional design, or adult learning is strongly preferred.
• License/Certifications: Must hold and maintain credentialing from the National Board of Respiratory Care as an RRT. Licensed by the Maine Board of Respiratory Care Practitioners as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in Maine. BLS certification required; ACLS, PALS, and NRP preferred or required based on area of clinical involvement.
• Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of clinical respiratory therapy experience in acute care or specialty settings required. A minimum of one year of experience in clinical education, training, or preceptorship demonstrating a strong understanding of respiratory care theory, clinical best practices, and interdisciplinary team dynamics.
