Job Summary and Qualifications

The Respiratory Therapy Supervisor supervises staff, performs duties, assists with education of patients, students and staff, develops goals and objectives, assists with evaluation of staff competencies and acts as a mentor to new employees during the orientation process.

What you will do in this role:

• Perform routine patient assessment upon admission and prior discharge.
• Develop and evaluate patient goals and objectives.
• Perform patient and staff education.
• Perform evaluation of clinical documentation and chart review of respiratory care notes.
• Monitor and evaluate competency skills of respiratory staff.
• Develop and perform respiratory staff training.
• Interact with Physicians and Allied Health Professionals regarding patient care and objectives of respiratory care.
• Assist in the development and evaluation of departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist in the education, training and discussion of departmental policies and procedures with other health professionals and/or students.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (RRT/RCP-State) Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner
• Associate Degree
• 3 years of Respiratory experience required
