Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Bar Manager to oversee daily operations of our bustling dining establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of food and beverage service, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves managing staff, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining high-quality service in a fast-paced environment. Previous hospitality management experience, particularly in casual or fine dining settings, is highly desirable.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant and bar operations to ensure smooth service flow
- Lead, train, and develop staff members in food preparation, customer service, and safety protocols
- Oversee inventory control, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS
- Handle cash transactions accurately and manage cash handling procedures
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and sanitation regulations
- Manage shift schedules, assign duties, and monitor staff performance to maintain high service standards
- Oversee food production, bar service, and kitchen operations to ensure quality and efficiency
- Assist in menu planning, beverage selection, and promotional activities to enhance guest experience
- Conduct interviews for hiring new team members and participate in staff training & development programs
- Monitor operational budgets, control costs, and optimize resource utilization
- Address customer concerns promptly to uphold excellent hospitality standards
Skills
- Proven management experience within the food industry, including supervising teams in quick service & fast food or casual dining environments
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety practices
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and inventory management
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse guest needs effectively
- Leadership qualities with experience in staff training, team management, and interviewing candidates
- Ability to manage shift operations efficiently while maintaining high standards of hospitality management
- Familiarity with kitchen management, food handling procedures, and food production processes
- Experience with budgeting, cost control, and food & beverage management
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and food safety compliance
- Hospitality management background including hotel or catering experience is a plus
- Effective communication skills to coordinate between kitchen staff, bartenders, servers, and guests
