Restaurant Bookkeeper

We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper for a neighborhood restaurant and bar in Dallas. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and keeping the books clean, organized, and up to date in QuickBooks. The bookkeeper will work with Toast POS, xtraCHEF, bank and credit card accounts, vendor invoices, and internal sales reporting to reconcile transactions and maintain accurate records. Responsibilities include recording and categorizing transactions, reconciling sales, deposits, bank accounts, and credit cards, managing accounts payable, supporting payroll and tip reporting, preparing regular food, beverage, and sales tax estimates for management, etc. The ideal candidate has experience in all of these functions, and will provide references.

Qualifications

• Proven bookkeeping experience
• Experience using QuickBooks
• Experience working with Toast POS or similar restaurant POS systems
• Experience with xtraCHEF or similar restaurant invoice/accounting platforms preferred
• Experience with accounts payable, vendor invoices, and expense tracking
• Ability to prepare food, beverage, and sales tax estimates accurately
• Comfortable supporting payroll records and tip reporting
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
• Restaurant, bar, or hospitality bookkeeping experience
