Restaurant Host

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Host/Cashier to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a seamless dining experience. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, a strong ability to communicate effectively, and experience in food service or restaurant environments.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage the seating arrangements to optimize flow and efficiency.
  • Take customer orders accurately and input them into the POS system, preferably Toast POS.
  • Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Handle credit transactions with precision while maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
  • Assist with phone etiquette, taking reservations, and answering questions about menu items or services.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including menus and dining spaces.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
  • Familiarity with Toast POS systems.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent phone etiquette for handling reservations and guest inquiries.
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to help others create memorable dining experiences.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $21.00 per hour
