Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and smooth dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Duties
- Greet guests upon arrival and escort them to their tables, ensuring a pleasant dining experience from the start.
- Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart to optimize table turnover.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, assisting with inquiries and reservations while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with grace, striving to resolve issues promptly and effectively.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including the host stand and waiting area.
- Utilize POS system for take-out orders and cash register.
- Assist in other areas of the restaurant as required, contributing to a team-oriented environment..
Experience
- Previous experience as a Host/Host or in a similar food service role is preferred.
- Strong background in customer service, hospitality, or guest relations is essential.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations and experience in a fast-paced environment is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective guest interaction.
- Experience with POS systems.
