Duties

• Greet guests promptly with a friendly smile and positive attitude, setting the tone for their visit
• Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using open table
• Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction
• Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing information about wait times and reservations
• Assist guests with special requests or needs, ensuring they feel welcomed and cared for throughout their visit
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area to uphold high standards of guest service
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow of service and guest satisfaction

Experience

• At least 2yrs previous host/hostess experience in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment is preferred
• Strong customer service background with excellent communication skills and a warm demeanor
• Familiarity with restaurant POS systems like Open Table, and Square is required
• Experience in hospitality or hotel guest services is a plus, demonstrating versatility in guest relations
• Ability to handle phone etiquette professionally and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Knowledge of restaurant operations and guest services enhances your ability to excel in this role
• Prior serving or food service experience helps in understanding guest needs and expectations
