Restaurant Host/Hostess

Job Summary
We are obssesed with over-the-top hospitality and the guest experience! We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our team in delivering exceptional guest experiences. The Host/Hostess at 243 South sets the tone for the guest's ENTIRE experience.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere in our establishment. This requires excellent communication and customer service skills.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
• Attend Family Meetings and contribute to the professional development discussions
• Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart as well as update guest information in our database
• Provide accurate wait times and communicate effectively with guests.
• Assist with guest inquiries regarding menu items, specials, and restaurant policies.
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain cleanliness of the host/host area and dining room.
• Utilize Toast and OpenTable for managing guest reservations, information, and payments.
• Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing information and assistance as needed.

Experience

• Previous experience in guest relations or customer service within the hospitality or food service industry is preferred.
• Familiarity with Toast and Open Table is a plus.
• Strong phone etiquette skills to assist guests effectively over the phone.
• A passion for providing outstanding guest services and creating memorable experiences.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $17.00 per hour
