Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly and energetic demeanor as they arrive, ensuring they feel valued and comfortable from the moment they walk through the door
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to optimize table turnover and guest flow
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and smooth service operations
• Answer guest inquiries via phone or in person with clear communication and professional phone etiquette
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/hostess station and waiting area to uphold a welcoming environment
• Assist with guest relations by addressing questions, concerns, or special requests promptly and courteously
• Support team members during busy periods by providing excellent guest services and ensuring a positive dining experience

Requirements

• Prior host/hostess experience or food service background preferred but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with guests, team members, and management
• Experience with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Knowledge of hotel or guest services can be advantageous in providing exceptional hospitality
• Excellent phone etiquette and guest relations skills to handle inquiries professionally
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential for supporting smooth restaurant operations
