Restaurant Host/Hostess

Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Restaurant Host/Hostess to be the first point of contact for our guests. In this lively role, you will create a warm and inviting atmosphere by greeting guests, managing reservations, and coordinating seating arrangements. Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
• Manage reservations efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction
• Answer phone inquiries with courteous phone etiquette, assisting with reservations and general questions
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and waiting area
• Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth service flow
• Handle guest concerns or special requests promptly, demonstrating excellent guest relations skills

Qualifications

• Previous host/hostess experience in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment preferred
• Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and friendly demeanor
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Experience in hospitality, serving, or hotel guest services is advantageous
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining professionalism
• Knowledge of phone etiquette and guest relations best practices
