Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly and energetic demeanor as they arrive, making them feel immediately welcomed and appreciated
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to optimize table turnover
• Answer phone inquiries with professionalism, providing accurate information about wait times and reservation options
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow of service and guest satisfaction
• Maintain a clean, organized host stand and waiting area that reflects the restaurant’s vibrant atmosphere
• Assist guests with special requests or accommodations to enhance their dining experience
• Handle guest concerns or complaints promptly and courteously, turning challenges into positive interactions

Qualifications

• Previous host/hostess experience in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment preferred
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse guests
• Experience with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
• Excellent customer service skills, including active listening and problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge of food service operations and guest relations best practices
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a lively, positive attitude
• Professional phone etiquette and hospitality skills are essential
