Restaurant Janitor

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Restaurant Janitor to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in our dining establishment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all areas of the restaurant are clean, safe, and welcoming for both staff and customers. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance, contributing to an overall positive dining experience.

Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of all restaurant areas, including dining rooms, kitchens, restrooms, and outdoor spaces.
• Sweep, mop, and scrub floors to maintain a polished appearance.
• Dispose of trash and recyclables in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and supplies used in cleaning tasks.
• Assist with basic maintenance tasks as needed to ensure the facility is in good working order.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines while performing janitorial duties.

Requirements

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred, with a focus on commercial cleaning environments.
• Experience in facilities maintenance roles is a plus.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
