Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Store Manager to oversee daily operations at our retail location. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, exceptional customer service skills, and comprehensive knowledge of retail management. This role involves managing staff, ensuring sales targets are met, maintaining inventory accuracy, and fostering a positive shopping environment. The Store Manager will play a pivotal role in driving store success through effective team management, strategic planning, and operational excellence.

Duties

  • Lead and supervise store staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating employees to ensure high performance and professional development.
  • Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS transactions.
  • Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, merchandising, and pricing strategies to maximize sales and minimize loss.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed sales goals while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, policies, and updates; foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Manage payroll processing, bookkeeping tasks, and administrative duties related to store operations.
  • Coordinate marketing efforts and promotional activities to increase store visibility and sales.
  • Monitor store performance metrics and prepare reports for senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and health standards.

Qualifications

  • Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with supervisory responsibilities.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems, POS systems, retail math, and cash handling procedures.
  • Experience in employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, training & development.
  • Knowledge of merchandising, pricing strategies, marketing techniques, and retail sales management.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively across multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with budgeting, purchasing, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and inventory control.
  • Ability to handle customer service issues professionally with phone etiquette skills.
  • Demonstrated ability in sales management, shift management, supervision of retail staff, and administrative tasks. This position offers an opportunity for a dedicated professional to lead a vibrant retail team while contributing directly to the success of our store operations through strategic leadership and excellent service delivery.

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
