RESTAURANT MANAGER / ASSISTANT RESTAURANT MANAGER

Job Overview

Midciti Café is seeking experienced and dynamic hospitality professionals for the positions of Restaurant Manager and Assistant Restaurant Manager. The ideal candidates will be responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations, leading teams, ensuring service excellence, and maintaining strong cost and inventory control systems.

Key ResponsibilitiesRestaurant Manager:

• Oversee daily restaurant operations and floor activities
• Lead, train, and supervise front-of-house and kitchen teams
• Ensure exceptional customer service and high hygiene standards
• Monitor food costs, labor utilization, and operational expenses
• Oversee inventory control, stock management, and supplier coordination
• Review sales performance and assist with profit & loss tracking
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and internal SOPs

Assistant Restaurant Manager:

• Support the Restaurant Manager in daily operational management
• Supervise staff and assist in onboarding and training
• Handle customer feedback and resolve service issues professionally
• Assist in inventory management and stock control
• Maintain shift discipline and operational efficiency

Training & Cost Management Responsibilities

• Conduct structured staff training and ongoing performance development
• Implement SOP-based operational training programs
• Monitor food costing, labor costing, and expense control
• Perform regular stock counts and identify discrepancies
• Implement waste control measures and improve operational efficiency
• Assist in menu pricing and profitability analysis

Requirements

• Proven experience in Restaurant Management (Desi cuisine experience preferred)
• Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills
• Sound knowledge of budgeting, costing, and inventory systems
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends
• Hospitality-related qualification preferred
