Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements, providing a welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems, ensuring timely communication with kitchen staff
• Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and presentation
• Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
• Clear tables, bussing as needed to maintain cleanliness and readiness for new guests
• Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems like OpenTable or cashiering tools, including basic math calculations and cash handling procedures

Experience

• Previous restaurant experience is preferred, especially in fine dining or upscale food service environments
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is highly desirable
• Demonstrated customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
• Experience in food handling, sanitation, and food safety protocols within the food industry
• Background in serving, bartending, or host/hostess roles is a plus
• Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail
• Knowledge of culinary processes or kitchen experience can be beneficial for understanding food preparation and service flow
