Restaurant Server

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional customer service and have a strong understanding of food and beverage offerings. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests while ensuring efficient service and adherence to food safety standards.

Duties

• Greet and welcome guests promptly with a friendly demeanor.
• Present menus, answer questions, and make recommendations to enhance the dining experience.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
• Serve food and drinks in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met.
• Upsell menu items to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining guest satisfaction.
• Monitor guest needs throughout their dining experience, providing attentive service.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and managing tips.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and ensuring sanitation standards are upheld.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
• Assist in training new staff members on service protocols and restaurant policies.

Skills

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively.
• Experience with Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar point-of-sale systems is preferred.
• Culinary experience in food preparation or fine dining settings is an advantage.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently.
• Sales skills with an emphasis on upselling menu items effectively.
• Familiarity with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is beneficial.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and handling procedures.
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and order processing.
• Previous experience in the food industry, including restaurant or nightclub settings.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining individual responsibilities.
