Food and Beverage Server

Job Summary:
Food Servers collaborate with cooks, chefs, supervisors, restaurant managers and other foodservice staff to provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive reputation for the organization
Essential Functions:
- Greeting and seating customers
- Taking food and beverage orders and accurately entering them into the ordering system
- Making menu item recommendations and suggestive selling techniques
- Communicating any food allergy or special nutrition needs to kitchen staff
- Ensuring all orders are filled quickly and accurately and that food is high quality
- Providing attentive service to diners, like refilling drinks as needed and checking their needs during meals
- Promptly addressing any customer service issues and referring to management if and when necessary
- Performing some cleaning duties, such as at the service station, around the kitchen and in the dining area
- Willing to work flexible work schedules that include nights and weekends
- Cross-training opportunities to work in the Concession Stand at the pool may be available dependent on availability

- Ability to working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures and high-pressure environments
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift/pull up to 25 lbs. regularly and up to 55 lbs. occasionally
- Requires manual dexterity for equipment operation and the ability to perform repetitive motions, bending, climbing, and lifting
- Must possess full range of vision, hearing, and communication abilities
Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:
- POS System experience preferred
- Knowledge of the proper etiquette and service standards.
- Basic math skills.
- High school diploma and prior experience working in customer service.
- English language and professional communications skills are required.
- Ability to take direction.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
- Excellent customer service, including patience and a friendly demeanor
- Exceptional organization and time management
