Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, providing a welcoming first impression
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clarity and attention to detail
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance the guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while maintaining accountability
- Maintain sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning service areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, supporting overall restaurant operations
- Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and ensuring satisfaction throughout the dining experience
- Assist with food handling and basic food preparation tasks when needed, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
- Support sanitation efforts by following proper food safety procedures and maintaining a clean work environment
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor that engages guests positively
- Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Effective upselling techniques to promote menu items and maximize sales opportunities
- Previous restaurant experience or food industry background preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a bonus
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations to ensure guest safety
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and billing purposes
- Strong communication skills for guest interactions and teamwork within the restaurant environment
- Experience in serving, bussing, host/hostess duties, or hospitality roles that emphasize guest relations
Pay: $16.90 - $20.00 per hour
