Restaurant Server- Small Wine Shop in Carytown

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Server your responsibility is to work in a team setting to deliver a full service experience to guests by engaging and guiding guests through the process of ordering food and beverages. You will serve a variety of wines and non-alcoholic beverages, accurately entering the items into the Toast POS system, timely delivering completed items to the guest, presenting the check in a timely manner and completing payment. This role will also be responsible for preparing charcuterie boards and other small plates.

This position may work with other service positions to ensure guests have everything they need throughout their experience.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

• Manage inventory levels, restocking supplies as needed.
• Monitor guest consumption of alcohol responsibly, adhering to all legal regulations regarding alcohol service.
• Maintain cleanliness, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
• Preparing Charcuterie boards and warming food, using an air fryer.

Experience

• Minimum 1-2 years experience in food service is preferred.
• Familiarity with food handling and safety practices.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently.

Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create a friendly and inviting atmosphere for guests.

Knowledge of wine is a plus.

Requirements

This is a up to 20 hours a week part time position that requires a flexible schedule, often working weekdays, weekends and some holidays.

• The position requires at least 1 year of full-service restaurant experience; combined industry experience will be considered.
• High-school diploma preferred
• Food handling experience preferred

Projected Total Compensation: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
