About the Position
The Hungry Buffalo is looking for a dependable, hardworking, and outgoing General Team Member who takes pride in doing things the right way.
This is not a position where you will be assigned only one task. Our team members are trained to help operate the entire restaurant. During a shift, you may prepare ingredients, take orders, cook on the grill and fryer, assemble and plate meals, deliver food to guests, clean work areas, restock supplies, and complete opening or closing duties.
At times, you may work with a team. At other times, you may be responsible for operating the restaurant while working independently. Because of that, we need someone who is trustworthy, self-motivated, attentive, and able to recognize what needs to be done without constantly being directed.
The work can be fast-paced, physical, and demanding. We do not cut corners and we do not accept dishonesty, excessive phone use, unprofessional appearance or behavior, poor effort, or leaving work for someone else to finish. We maintain high standards for food quality, cleanliness, hospitality, and personal responsibility.
In return, we give our employees trust, freedom, and the opportunity to take ownership of their work. We welcome ideas and encourage employees to help us improve. We value every member of our team and want to help our employees develop skills that will benefit them at The Hungry Buffalo and in their future careers.
What You Will Do

- Explain menu items and answer guest questions.
- Take orders accurately and process cash and electronic payments.
- Prepare ingredients and complete assigned food-preparation tasks.
- Cook food safely and correctly using the grill, fryer, and other kitchen equipment.

- Keep the kitchen, service counter, prep areas, equipment, and storage spaces clean and organized.
- Wash dishes and complete cleaning and sanitation duties throughout the shift.
- Restock food, packaging, condiments, and other supplies before they run out.
- Complete opening and closing checklists thoroughly when scheduled.
- Follow food-safety, sanitation, cash-handling, and workplace-safety procedures.
- Address guest concerns calmly and professionally.
- Communicate clearly with coworkers and restaurant ownership.
- Work independently and manage all aspects of the restaurant when scheduled alone.
- Notice what needs to be done and take initiative without waiting to be asked.
