High Flying Foods is looking for a Utility Runner to join our team at San Diego International Airport. This position supports our 7 restaurants in Terminal 1: Better Buzz, Cutwater, Lofty Coffee, Taco Stand, Ambrogio15, Market Hall, and Parfait Paris. You will join a dynamic and positive team environment, maintaining the highest standards of service and operational excellence. Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas according to pull list
Rotate and various items for freshness including but not limited to beer kegs, grab and go items, merchandise, etc.
Keep kitchen area clean, including sweeping and mopping, washing tables, walls, refrigerators and other kitchen equipment
Remove garbage to designated areas
Wash dishes, cutlery and other restaurant equipment, ensuring they are ready for customer use
Organize backroom area and ensure all plate ware, cutlery, to-go boxes, and the like are easily accessible for use
Maintain a clean work environment, including countertops, floors and kitchen equipment.
Unload and unpack deliveries to the restaurant, focusing on product rotation to ensure freshness
Empty all trash and other debris
May include minor kitchen prep, rotation of grab and go products
Organize offsite storage area including but not limited to food and/or restaurant equipment such as extra glassware and full or empty beer kegs
Ensure proper knife safety is followed, including but not limited to airport rules regarding sharp objects.
Other duties as assigned
1+ years of experience in a porter, dishwashing, stocking, or delivery position
Open availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
Ability to verbally communicate with customers and coworkers
Must possess the ability to work safely and ensure all proper safety protocols are enforced.
Ability to work autonomously
Ability to lift 100+ pounds
Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and kneel for the duration of shift
