Job Title: ReStore Donations Coordinator & Customer Service Specialist

Position Summary

Habitat for Humanity South Sarasota ReStore is seeking a friendly, organized, and mission-driven Donations Coordinator & Customer Service Specialist to serve as the first point of contact for donors and customers. This role manages incoming calls, schedules donation pickups, and provides excellent customer service while supporting the overall operations of the ReStore.

This position plays a key role in advancing Habitat’s mission by helping secure quality donations that fund affordable housing initiatives in our community.

Key Responsibilities

Donor & Customer Communication

  • Answer incoming calls and respond to inquiries about donations, store operations, and services
  • Provide clear guidance on acceptable donation items and pickup procedures
  • Deliver excellent customer service in alignment with Habitat’s mission and values

Donation Coordination & Scheduling

  • Schedule and coordinate donation pickups efficiently using internal systems
  • Communicate scheduling details with donors and the ReStore team

Administrative Support

  • Accurately enter and maintain donor and pickup information
  • Confirm appointments and follow up with donors as needed
  • Assist with reporting and tracking donation activity

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with drivers, warehouse staff, and store team to ensure smooth operations
  • Communicate any changes, delays, or special instructions regarding pickups
  • Provides support to front end and processing departments during slower phone times

Qualifications

  • Strong customer service and communication skills (phone-heavy role)
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Comfortable using computers, scheduling software, and basic office tools
  • Ability to handle high call volume with professionalism and efficiency
  • Positive attitude and commitment to Habitat for Humanity’s mission

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous call center, scheduling, or administrative experience
  • Experience in nonprofit, retail, or logistics environments
  • Familiarity with donation-based operations or resale environments

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
