Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Retail Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales performance. You will play a vital role in managing staff, inventory, and store presentation while fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and growth.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the management of store operations, including sales, inventory control, and merchandising.
- Supervise and train staff to ensure high levels of customer service and operational efficiency.
- Conduct employee orientation and training programs to develop team skills.
- Manage scheduling, payroll, and administrative tasks to maintain smooth operations.
- Lead recruitment efforts by interviewing potential candidates and onboarding new hires.
- Oversee inventory management processes including ordering, stocking, and pricing of products.
- Implement marketing strategies to enhance store visibility and drive sales.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures while maintaining a safe work environment.
- Utilize POS systems for transactions and cash handling duties.
- Analyze sales data and retail math to inform decision-making for budget management.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail management or as an assistant manager with strong leadership skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers and team members.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in inventory management, bookkeeping, and payroll processes.
- Familiarity with merchandising techniques and retail math principles.
- Experience in recruiting, interviewing, and training employees is highly desirable.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for enhancing customer interactions.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills for vendor relations and purchasing decisions.
- Knowledge of cashiering practices and cash handling procedures is essential.

Pay: $16.45 - $22.00 per hour
