We are seeking an energetic and motivated Retail Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team! In this pivotal role, you will

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) system management
• Lead, motivate, and supervise team members to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service
• Manage inventory levels through purchasing, stock replenishment, merchandising, and inventory control strategies
• Assist in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new employees to foster a knowledgeable and engaged team
• Implement effective marketing initiatives and promotional activities to boost sales and store visibility
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping, payroll processing, and budget management to ensure operational efficiency
• Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety standards, and store procedures

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Assistant Manager or in a supervisory retail role with strong leadership skills
• Demonstrated expertise in retail sales management, inventory management, and merchandising technique
• Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math for pricing and sales calculations
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively across multiple responsibilities
• Experience in employee orientation, training & development, interviewing candidates, and supervising staff
• Clean records
• Ability to handle customer inquiries professionally via phone etiquette and in-person interactions
• Flexibility to work shifts including evenings or weekends as needed; previous assistant manager experience is preferred
• Passion for customer service excellence with a proactive attitude toward problem-solving and team leadership

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
