Duties
- Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, to ensure smooth functioning throughout the shift
- Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of sales associates to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service
- Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and merchandising to maximize product visibility and sales potential
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure a positive shopping experience
- Conduct employee orientation, training & development sessions to enhance team skills and product knowledge
- Assist in recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing and onboarding new staff members
- Oversee POS (Point of Sale) transactions, cash handling, payroll processing, and bookkeeping tasks with accuracy
- Implement marketing strategies within the store to boost sales and promote special offers or new products
- Monitor store performance metrics, prepare reports on sales management, budgeting, and inventory levels
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety standards, and store procedures
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Assistant Manager or in a supervisory retail role with supervising experience
- Strong management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively across shifts
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Proficiency in retail math, pricing strategies, and retail sales techniques
- Knowledge of POS systems, inventory management software, and cashiering procedures
- Demonstrated ability in negotiation, recruiting, employee orientation, training & development
- Organizational skills with attention to detail in bookkeeping, payroll processing, and stock control
- Customer service-oriented mindset with phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
- Experience in merchandising, stocking, marketing initiatives, and wireless sales is advantageous
- Ability to manage time efficiently while handling multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Leadership qualities combined with strong problem-solving skills to foster team growth and store success
