Retail Associate

Retail Sales Associate (Part-Time) Pay: $21.30–$24.40/hour

Schedule: Varied schedule including weekends, holidays & some evenings, 20-29 hours per week. Store is open from 10:00am-5:00pm

Location: Pike Place Market – Seattle, WA

Ventures is a Seattle nonprofit that helps aspiring entrepreneurs from underrepresented communities start and grow small businesses. For 30 years, we’ve supported more than 7,500 individuals through training, coaching, incubation, and access to capital.

About the Role

We’re looking for a customer‑focused Retail Sales Associate to support daily operations at the Ventures Marketplace, our retail incubator for emerging entrepreneurs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys engaging with customers, maintaining an organized and welcoming store environment, and contributing to a mission‑driven retail space that uplifts small business owners.

What You’ll Do

• Greet and assist customers, delivering excellent customer service
• Perform accurate opening and closing procedures
• Create daily bank deposits
• Work toward achieving daily sales goals by promoting client products
• Support store upkeep, including cleaning, organizing, and maintaining displays
• Assist with inventory control and stock management
• Help prepare for special events
• Work with the Senior Manager of Incubation
• Receive, ticket, and merchandise new products

What You Bring

• Experience with retail point of sale
• Minimum of 2 years retail experience, opening and closing
• Strong customer service skills and a commitment to supporting Ventures clients
• Ability to work cooperatively with all team members

• Availability to work weekends, holidays, and some evenings
