Retail Associate Farm Supply

Job Summary
Join in rebuilding our team as a Retail Associate specializing in Farm Supply! In this role, you will be the friendly face and knowledgeable resource for customers seeking farm related hardware products. This position offers an opportunity to develop retail skills, engage with a the community, and contribute to a thriving farm supply environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their shopping journey
• Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
• Assist customers with finding the right product whether in our store or special order
• Maintain organized merchandising displays to highlight key products and promotions
• Stock shelves, manage inventory levels, and ensure products are properly labeled and accessible
• Upsell complementary items by understanding customer needs and recommending relevant products
• Handle cashiering duties including cash handling, basic math calculations, and balancing registers accurately
• Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting remote customers
• Opportunities to supervise or assist in supervising team members when needed, fostering a collaborative environment

Qualifications

• Prior retail sales experience preferred; supervisory experience is a plus
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in both English and bilingual settings
• Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math principles
• Experience with merchandising, stocking, and product demos in a grocery or farm supply environment
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette
• Ability to upsell products confidently while maintaining integrity and customer trust
• Basic math skills for transactions, inventory management, and sales calculations
• Familiarity with grocery store operations is advantageous but not required
• Must demonstrate strong teamwork skills, adaptability, and a proactive approach to tasks

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
