We are seeking an enthusiastic, dependable, and customer-focused Retail Associate & Scent Blending Specialist to join our growing team. This role combines retail sales, customer service, store operations, and hosting interactive perfume and cologne blending experiences both in-store and at select off-site events.

Store Hours

Closed: Monday & Tuesday

Wednesday – Thursday: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Friday – Saturday: 11:00 AM – 6:30 PM

Sunday: 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Part-time schedules will vary based on business needs, events, and customer bookings. Evening and weekend availability is preferred.

Position Overview

As a Retail Associate & Scent Blending Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining store operations, educating guests about our products, and guiding customers through our signature perfume and cologne blending experiences.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has a passion for fragrance and retail, and thrives in a hands-on, experiential environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesRetail Operations

• Welcome and engage customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Assist customers with product selection and recommendations
• Educate customers on botanical skincare and fragrance products
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately
• Process purchases, exchanges, and refunds
• Maintain accurate cash handling procedures
• Assist with inventory management and restocking
• Keep shelves, displays, and product areas organized and fully stocked
• Support merchandising updates and seasonal displays
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting retail environment

Scent Blending Experience Host

• Facilitate guided perfume and cologne blending experiences
• Create a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for guests
• Educate customers on fragrance notes, scent families, and blending techniques
• Assist guests in selecting fragrance combinations that match their preferences
• Ensure each participant receives exceptional service throughout their experience
• Prepare and reset blending stations before and after classes
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all fragrance materials and supplies
• Support private parties, group bookings, and special events

Opening Duties

• Arrive on time and prepare the store for daily operations
• Unlock and open the facility according to company procedures
• Turn on lights, music, and equipment
• Verify cleanliness and readiness of retail and scent studio areas
• Ensure cash drawer and POS systems are operational
• Restock products and supplies as needed
• Prepare fragrance stations for scheduled experiences

Closing Duties

• Reconcile sales and cash drawer
• Secure cash and follow end-of-day procedures
• Clean retail floor, scent studio, and workstations
• Restock products and fragrance supplies
• Complete closing checklist
• Lock and secure facility according to company procedures

Events & Community Engagement

• Assist with off-site perfume and cologne blending events
• Help transport and set up event materials when needed
• Represent Lather Green professionally in the community
• Support marketing events, workshops, and promotional activities
• Deliver exceptional customer experiences outside the retail store

QualificationsRequired

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Reliable transportation
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable speaking to groups and leading customer experiences
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds

Preferred

• Retail sales experience
• Customer service experience
• Event hosting or teaching experience
• Experience working in beauty, fragrance, hospitality, or wellness industries
• Cash handling and POS experience
