About the Role:

The Retail Bank Security Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of the bank's premises, employees, and customers. This position involves monitoring activities within the bank to prevent theft, fraud, and other criminal activities. The officer will be responsible for implementing security protocols and responding to emergencies, ensuring a safe banking environment. Additionally, the role requires collaboration with local law enforcement and emergency services to enhance security measures. Ultimately, the Retail Bank Security Officer contributes to maintaining the bank's reputation and trust within the community by providing a secure atmosphere for all stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in security or law enforcement.
  • Valid security guard license as required by state regulations.
  • Must be able to stand for long durations of time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in criminal justice or a related field.
  • Experience in a banking or financial services environment.
  • Certification in first aid and CPR.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor surveillance systems and conduct regular security patrols of the bank premises.
  • Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, conducting investigations and reporting findings.
  • Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to mitigate risks.
  • Assist in training bank staff on security awareness and emergency response protocols.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies to address security concerns and enhance community relations.
