Retail portfolio analytics Manager of the Bank (Onsite at Kuwait)

12 months contract with an option of extension / full time conversion based on organization’s needs. Position is on site in Kuwait for one of Acies's clients.

Position Summary

Independently undertake advanced analytics on the Retail loan portfolio of the Bank, consisting of Personal loans, credit cards, auto loans, and consumer loans. Analytics driven output to assess for credit risk, asset quality, profitability and providing insights on consumer data.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Data extraction: Extract data sets from the data warehouse using SQL, Python, R
• Retail risk analytics: Undertake analytics on the retail portfolio of the Bank such as Vintage analysis. Delinquency analysis, Floor rate analysis, Collection efficiency, and track delinquency on a real time basis
• Portfolio Management: Analyze retail consumer banking portfolios (personal loans, cards, auto loans, and consumer loans) to identify trends, potential risks, and areas for mitigation.
• Collections Strategy: Create and optimize, collections strategies to improve recovery rates, utilizing appropriate systems and staff resources.
• Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all activities adhere to regulatory guidelines and internal risk policies; prepare reports for management for pre-emptive actioning to reach out to customers on an almost ongoing and live basis rather than post facto and on a delayed (90 days + window) basis

Required Qualifications / Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or Finance
• Experience: Proven experience in retail portfolio analytics, preferably within the GCC banking sector.
• Technical Skills: Advanced Proficiency in SQL, SAS, Python, or R. Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, Macros) is essential
• Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of risk frameworks and regulations, particularly those set by the Central Bank of Kuwait.
• Communication: Excellent English communication skills; Arabic is often preferred

Preferred Experience

• Minimum 10 years of demonstrable, hands-on experience as a Retail portfolio analytics manager for the Retail banking segments of Middle Eastern banks / Banks in Kuwait
• Strong understanding of portfolio level risk analytics
• Ability to provide a coherent risk view to the senior management
• Ability to understand the implications of modelling assumptions
• Strong analytical skills, communication skills, knowledge of retail banking principles, knowledge of Basel and credit systems

Pay: KD9,500.000 - KD11,500.000 per year
