Do you love cupcakes and connecting with people? Batter ‘N Icing — a 100% woman-owned gourmet bakery — is looking for part-time Customer Service and Cashiers to join our team!

This role is a mix of customer-facing service (cashiering, customer support, event order assistance) and marketing exposure (social media, brand promotion, customer loyalty programs). Perfect for students who want hands-on experience in retail, hospitality, and marketing while working in a fun, supportive, and sweet environment (literally).

Availability: Must be available a few weekday mornings in Pleasant Hill + all Saturdays. Occasionally pick up shifts at our Danville location to help fill open shifts. This is a long-term role (minimum 8 months) — not a seasonal opening.

What You’ll Do:

• Welcome every guest with warmth and enthusiasm
• Serve as a cashier and process customer transactions accurately
• Assist customers in designing cakes/cupcakes for special occasions
• Share daily specials and signature flavors with guests
• Promote our rewards program and help boost sales through friendly engagement
• Support marketing initiatives (social media content, branding, seasonal promotions)
• Keep the service area clean and inviting
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment

What We’re Looking For:

• Outgoing, enthusiastic, and customer-focused
• Strong communicator with great people skills
• Reliable and punctual (lives within 5 miles preferred)
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• Previous retail/service experience is a plus, but not required
• Marketing, communications, or business students encouraged to apply!
• Must be 18+

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.50 - $19.50 per hour
