POSITION PURPOSE

The Retail Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing consumer-focused marketing initiatives to drive awareness, engagement, and sales growth across Bona’s retail channels. This role oversees the implementation of retail campaigns, digital programs, in-store marketing, and promotional activities designed to strengthen brand presence and achieve business objectives. Partnering closely with internal teams—including Sales, eCommerce, Product Management, and Creative—as well as external agencies, this individual ensures marketing plans are executed effectively, on time, and on brand. The Retail Marketing Manager will leverage strong strategic thinking, project management, and analytical skills to optimize performance, enhance customer experience, and align marketing initiatives with overall company goals. The Retail Marketing Manager will demonstrate excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills, high accuracy, and attention to detail and will contribute to a positive team atmosphere.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DUTIES

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field required; MBA with an emphasis in Marketing, Strategy, or Research is a plus
  • 7+ years of experience in marketing, brand management, product management, and/or digital/social marketing; experience in consumer products and retail channels is strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to develop and execute integrated marketing plans across digital, social, and traditional media channels
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across business functions at all levels of the organization
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally across multiple departments to deliver cohesive campaigns and on-brand content
  • Analytical mindset with experience monitoring campaign performance, identifying insights, and translating data into actionable recommendations
  • Self-starter with demonstrated initiative, adaptability, and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Extensive working knowledge of PC functions and Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Willingness to travel for trade shows, meetings, or events as needed

JOB DUTIES:

  • Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies for Bona’s retail product lines, aligning all initiatives with brand objectives and business goals.
  • Oversee execution of retail-specific campaigns, promotions, and programs across digital, social, and traditional channels to engage target audiences and drive sales.
  • Collaborate with eCommerce and Creative teams to develop impactful content, product imagery, and digital assets tailored to retail audiences.
  • Design and manage sampling and promotional programs, ensuring effective rollout, performance tracking, and communication across teams.
  • Partner with the Global Digital Marketing Manager on digital ad campaigns, SEO strategies, and email marketing initiatives to enhance consumer engagement.
  • Work closely with the eCommerce team to ensure product pages feature accurate, optimized, and up-to-date content.
  • Coordinate in-store marketing initiatives, including signage, point-of-sale displays, and promotional collateral, ensuring consistent brand presentation.
  • Support Sales in planning and executing retail trade show activities, including booth branding, collateral development, budgeting, and logistics.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Bona’s retail customer segments to inform marketing strategies and tactical execution.
  • Foster collaboration and strong working relationships with cross-functional partners—including Sales, Product Management, Supply Chain, Finance, and R&D—to ensure alignment and synergy across projects.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and consumer insights to identify new opportunities and refine marketing strategies.
  • Prepare reports and presentations summarizing campaign performance, key learnings, and recommendations for optimization.
  • Able and willing to work necessary hours to meet all project deadlines; travel when necessary.
  • Develop mutually beneficial, respectful, and effective relationships with peers to ensure seamless coordination between departments, maximize synergy, and maintain a shared vision, strategy, and focus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Must be able to bend, climb stairs, and continuously stand or walk 25% of the time.
  • Must be able to occasionally move within the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Must be able to lift 10-20 pounds (packages, copy paper, boxes, etc.)
  • Must be able to communicate effectively by listening and in both written and verbal forms.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Generally, works in an office environment but may occasionally be required to perform job duties outside of the typical office setting.
  • This position regularly requires large amounts of time to be spent using and viewing computer screens and equipment, which generally entails regular and repetitive motions.
  • May occasionally be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, or chemicals. All safety procedures should be adhered to in each of these situations.

Compensation Range: $95,000 to $115,000 per year

Compensation for the role will depend on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and may fall outside of the range provided. The compensation range listed above may encompass base salary, performance-based bonuses, and commission opportunities, if applicable.
