Retail Packaging-Project Manager/Account Manager

This is a newly created position and an addition to the team.
**Salary is negotiable based on experience.

Impak Retail Packaging is seeking an adaptable and well-organized Project Manager for their custom packaging division. This individual will have extensive experience in packaging development across multiple packaging product categories and materials - retail boxes, shopping bags, cut and sew bags/totes/pouches, paper collateral, ribbon and e-commerce packaging.

This candidate must have strong analytical skills, function well in a fast- paced environment and be able to manage numerous projects at once, including multi-component/large scale programs. This Project Manager must work quickly and accurately with in-depth costing scenarios and understand supply chain management.

Work Schedule:

Hybrid, M-F 8:00-5:00 CST, Fully Remote Available, must be available to work across multiple time zones (to be determined upon hire date)

Essential Functions:

· Representing the organization in a positive and professional manner during business and vendor-client interactions.

· Supporting the sales force; becoming a trusted, invaluable link to ensuring a sale translates to an on-time delivery, which translates to a re-order.

· Reviewing project scope and details with sales team to articulate project specific information accurately to the factories.

· Determining the appropriate factories to bid on projects and large packaging programs, consulting with senior management at project inception when needed.

· Working with both domestic factories and international factory partners based in APAC, EMEA, US and Mexico.

· Sending quote requests to factories detailing project specifications, timeline requirements and financial budgets/target price points; presenting factory recommendations to sales with cost and other project considerations in mind.

· Managing projects from start to finish, processing all associated documents including cost analysis worksheets, order confirmations,

proof approvals, purchase orders, packing lists and shipping documents, invoices, and profitability reports.

· Maintaining project status and timeline logs; providing regular and proactive status updates to sales team

· Maintaining accurate records, both digital and physical.

· Management and organization of pre-order, pre-production, production and marketing samples.

· Developing and managing expectations around factory samples; consulting with sales and senior management on standards for approval, appropriate tolerances and communicating expectations to factory while ensuring alignment with sales regarding client expectations.

· Working cross functionally with logistics, warehousing, accounting, production, offshore vendor relations and art departments, providing excellent service and partnership with internal teams.

· Ideally proficient with SAP Order, Purchasing, Inventory, Business Partner and Accounting modules, along with working cross-functionally and maintaining project organization within a project management tool (Impak currently uses Monday).

· Maintain rapport and be a trusted, consulted team member regarding client and factory-facing communication.

· Lead the project management team in the successful execution of projects from initiation to closure, ensuring adherence to project scope, timeline, and budget.

· Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships internally, to facilitate project success and alignment with business goals.

· Ability to handle fast paced environment and work well under pressure and autonomously.

· Ability to function on video conferencing, for frequent calls with clients and internal teams.

· Technical Expertise – must be a subject matter expert in the packaging industry with an emphasis on custom retail packaging.

· Special projects as required to support company objectives.

o Identify potential risks and issues that impact project delivery, develop, and mitigate strategies, and proactively address challenges to ensure project success.

· Drive continuous improvement initiatives with full operations and project management team, leveraging industry best practices and lessons learned to enhance project delivery processes and efficiency.

· Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop a plus.

· Experience working in a Project Management System, and ERP order processing system, such as SAP.

Travel: · Ability to travel up to 10 percent for project meetings, client interactions, site visits.

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Packaging, Business, Merchandising or related field.

· Alternatively, a combination of at least six to eight years of relevant experience and education will be considered.

· 6-8 years’ experience in the Packaging industry

Physical Requirements:

· Remote work is allowed with required travel to the Dallas HQ Office on a routine basis to be determined by management. Must be available to receive and ship out necessary samples for their respective accounts and sales team.

· Prolonged periods of sitting as a desk and working on a computer.

· Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

Pay: $63,894.86 - $76,948.65 per year
