Retail Pharmacist (Fresher or Experienced with PCI)

A Pharmacist dispenses prescription medications, counsels patients on proper usage and side effects, and manages medication therapy to ensure safety and efficacy. They verify prescriptions, check for drug interactions, administer immunizations, and supervise pharmacy staff to maintain compliance with legal and clinical standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Dispensing & Accuracy: Prepare, compound, and label pharmaceuticals accurately, ensuring proper dosage and checking for potential adverse drug interactions.
  • Patient Counseling: Advise patients on medication usage, side effects, and storage requirements.
  • Clinical Services: Administer vaccinations, conduct health screenings (e.g., blood pressure, cholesterol), and manage medication therapy.
  • Operations & Compliance: Maintain inventory control, ensure compliance with state/federal drug laws (FDA, DEA), and maintain patient records.
  • Supervision: Oversee pharmacy technicians and trainees to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Collaboration: Work with physicians and healthcare professionals to optimize patient treatment plans.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Valid license to practice as a pharmacist in the state/region.
  • Skills: Strong pharmacological knowledge, attention to detail, excellent communication, and customer service skills.
  • Technology: Proficiency with pharmacy management software and, if applicable, Electronic Health Records (EHR).
