Job Summary
We are hiring a part-time Printing Specialist / Production Assistant to support daily print production and shop operations. This role includes hands-on training on professional print equipment with a clear path to full-time employment and future leadership opportunities for the right candidate.
The ideal candidate is punctual, detail-oriented, dependable, honest, and willing to learn. This person should take pride in their work, communicate clearly, and be comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced production environment.
This position will begin as a production assistant role, with training toward becoming a primary printer operator for the shop.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily print production and shop workflow.
- Learn to operate the Roland VG3-540 printer/cutter and 54-inch cold laminator.
- Operate heat press machines for apparel and specialty print jobs.
- Prepare and precheck customer files in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Make basic graphic design adjustments when needed.
- Produce large format products including banners, posters, decals, signs, foam boards, standees, wall graphics, floor decals, and window graphics.
- Perform finishing tasks including trimming, laminating, mounting, weeding vinyl, taping, and packaging.
- Inspect completed orders for quality, accuracy, color consistency, and overall presentation.
- Assist walk-in customers professionally and courteously.
- Assist with on-site installations including wall graphics, floor decals, and window graphics.
- Keep the production area clean, organized, and safe.
- Communicate clearly about order issues, delays, mistakes, or questions.
- Manage materials carefully to reduce waste and avoid unnecessary reprints.
- Take initiative to solve reasonable production issues without constant supervision.
- Lift, carry, and move materials up to 40 lbs.
- Work reliably in a fast-paced, active production environment.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Strong attention to detail.

- Ability to take initiative and solve problems independently.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Comfortable in a hands-on, active production environment.

- Willingness to learn print equipment, finishing processes, and shop procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Large format printing experience.
- Experience with vinyl, banners, decals, laminating, mounting, or heat press production.
- Experience with print file setup and production workflows.
- Experience operating printers, cutters, laminators, or finishing tools.
- Experience with installations such as wall graphics, window graphics, or floor decals.
- Canva experience.
Compensation & Schedule
- Pay: $16–$17/hour based on experience.
- Pay increase eligible after training and performance review.
- Schedule: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday | Approximately 20 hours/week.
- In-person position based in Atlanta, GA.
